[NEWS] - 6 KEY EXPORT GROUPS OF VIETNAM WITH A TURNOVER OF 10 BILLION USD OR MORE

As of August 2022, Vietnam has 6 export commodity groups with a turnover of 10 billion USD or more, an increase of one group compared to the same period last year.
According to the General Department of Customs’s latest statistics, in August (August 1-15), export turnover reached 15.13 billion USD, down 6.9% (equivalent to 1.13 billion USD) compared to July 2, 2022.
Exports in the 1 month decreased compared to the 2nd period of July 2022 in several commodity groups such as computers, electronic products, and components, down by 412 million USD, corresponding to a decrease of 18.1%; other machinery, equipment, tools, and spare parts decreased by USD 308 million, reaching a reduction of 13.7%; iron and steel of all kinds decreased by 203 million USD, equivalent to 50.8%; footwear of all kinds decreased by USD 162 million, equivalent to a decrease of 13.8%...
Thus, by the end of August 15, 2022, Vietnam’s total export turnover reached US$232.76 billion, up 17.7%, equivalent to an increase of US$35.06 billion over the same period in 2021.
6 key export commodity groups include:
- Wood and wood products: is the latest commodity group with a turnover of 10.35 billion USD, up 4% over the same period last year.
- Phones and components reached 36.72 billion USD and are firmly holding the leading position, up 14.36% over the same period last year.
- Computers and components reached 27.5 USD, an increase of 6.09 billion USD over the same period last year.
- In turn, the remaining product groups are electronic products, textiles, and footwear.
With a total turnover of 147.37 billion USD, 6 key commodity groups accounted for 63.31% of the total export turnover of the country. The main export markets of the above groups are the United States, China, Korea, EU, Japan...
