According to statistics from the authorities, on average every day there are about 350-400 vehicles carrying all kinds of fresh fruits to the province’s border gate area for export to China.

Currently, Tan Thanh Border Gate and Huu Nghi International Border Gate are the two border gates with the most vibrant border trade activities. Border gate authorities still create the most favorable conditions for exporting all types of goods.

In the area of Tan Thanh border gate and Huu Nghi International border gate, customs clearance goods are mainly fresh fruits.

Specifically, at the Tan Thanh border gate, fresh fruits account for about 85% of the total export volume. In all professional processes, the Customs agency has fully staffed civil servants working. Soon complete the Smart Border Gate Construction Project

Currently, Tan Thanh border gate and Huu Nghi border gate carry out customs clearance of goods, accounting for 80% of the customs clearance capacity of border gates in the province, each day clearing over 1,000 vehicles/day. This result is because, in recent times, Lang Son province has effectively deployed digital border gates and applied smart technology control processes.

To improve customs clearance efficiency, building smart border gates is one of the important solutions.

Within the framework of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s working visit to China, on June 26, 2023, in Beijing, China, the People’s Committee of Lang Son Province, (Vietnam) and the People’s Government of the Ethnic Autonomous Region Zhuang, Guangxi (China) have agreed to sign a Framework Agreement on promoting the pilot construction of Vietnam - China smart border gates. One of the basic contents of the Framework Agreement is that the two sides agree to jointly promote the pilot construction of smart border gates at the specialized route for transporting goods at Huu Nghi border gate (Vietnam) - Huu Nghi Quan (China). Vietnam), specialized freight route Tan Thanh (Vietnam) - Po Chai (China).

Obtained approval from the Prime Minister on developing a project to pilot smart border gates at Huu Nghi border gates (Vietnam) - Huu Nghi Quan (China), Tan Thanh (Vietnam) - Po Chai (China), Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee has implemented a project to build a smart border gate model based on the application of modern science and technology in the delivery and receipt process. import and export goods to improve customs clearance capacity and efficiency at land border gates to meet the increasing trade needs of traders between Vietnam and China. At the same time, solves the situation of goods congestion at the border gate area, reduces transportation costs, and customs clearance of import and export goods, creates a favorable business environment, and attracts businesses to participate in import and export.

Recently, Lang Son province proposed and received the Prime Minister’s approval to assign Lang Son to pilot the construction of smart border gates, however, because this is new and unprecedented, there are many problems. Therefore, we need guidance, help, and support from central ministries and branches.

After listening to and getting opinions from ministries and branches, Lang Son is currently completing the Project documents and reports and submitting them to the Prime Minister for approval. When the project is approved, Lang Son province will strive to increase customs clearance capacity at Huu Nghi and Tan Thanh border gates by 4-5 times compared to the present time. Currently, we at Indochina Holding are a trade promotion enterprise and support domestic and foreign businesses wishing to export abroad or import into Vietnam, helping businesses connect and export goods. turn into success.
