The high-ranking Lao People’s Democratic Republic delegation visited and worked with the leaders of the Bac Ninh and Lam Dong provinces. Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Sengphet Houngboungnuang shared that Laos has a policy on implementing an investment project in a friendship urban area. In order to affirm the comprehensive cooperation relationship between the two countries, the ambassador hoped that Bac Ninh province would support and create favorable conditions for Lao enterprises to carry out the symbolic project of the two countries.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee Mr. Ngo Tan Phuong welcomed the Ambassador to the province and briefly informed about the results of the work of the President of the province Nguyen Huong Giang in Laos last June about the achievements of the provincial People’s Committee. conscious. Currently, Bac Ninh province is submitting to the Ministry of Construction for approval to adjust the provincial planning to 2045 and for the policy of planning a new urban area in the Northwest. Cooperation in cultural and tourism development between Vietnam and Laos in Lam Dong

On October 13, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic continued to visit and work in Lam Dong province. The delegation also had the participation of Ms. Phimpha Keomixay - Consul General of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Ho Chi Minh City along with the delegation of XiangKhouang province including representatives of the province and the departments, branches, and enterprises of Xiang Khouang province. participate in the meeting. On the Vietnamese side, the representative of the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Mr. Pham S together with representatives of the leaders of a number of departments and agencies, the People’s Committee of Lac Duong district warmly welcomed.

The content of the meeting revolved around three cooperation topics, namely the Project of supporting flower varieties and ornamental plants to decorate the landscape in the Plain of Jars - a famous cultural and historical relic in Laos; The project of eco-tourism area combined with Vietnam - Laos Friendship Flower Garden is expected in Lac Duong district and finally the project of cultural exchange and tourism exploitation of Vietnam - Laos.

Speaking at the meeting, representatives of Laos and Xieng Khoang province said: The Plain of Jars is a very special and sacred place for the Lao people. Therefore, for Laos, the Plain of Jars is not only a historically significant place but also a place where many imprints of the deep and close brotherly friendship between Vietnam and Laos are recorded. … For these reasons, Laos asked Lam Dong province to cooperate in supporting flower varieties and ornamental plants to decorate the Plain of Jars into a flower field, turning this place into a beautiful place bearing the emotional imprints of the two countries. Vietnam - Laos. The Lao side also exchanged wishes to cooperate on two projects, namely the Vietnam - Laos Friendship High-class Tourist Area Project and the Project of Cultural Exchange and Tourism Exploitation.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Pham S expressed his appreciation when receiving the delegation in Da Lat-Lam Dong. At the same time, Lam Dong province very much appreciates the good emotional relationship and the friendship and traditional cooperation that has almost turned 60 years between Vietnam and Laos.

Exchange of views on these projects, the Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee said that for the project of flower varieties for the Field of Jars, Lam Dong province agreed to donate all flower varieties to your country as proposed by the State Council. Laos delegation and at the same time also suggested some typical flower varieties of Da Lat that are suitable for the climate in the Plain of Jars and produce flowers all year round.

As for the remaining two projects, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee said that the province also accepts the investment policy under the Law on Foreign Investment in Vietnam. He assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Planning and Investment, and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with Lac Duong district to take the delegation to visit, survey, and learn the facts; then the relevant departments and agencies shall coordinate with Lac Duong district to guide specific procedures and must do it closely and quickly to soon submit to the Provincial People’s Committee for appraisal.
