According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Guangxi side said that the road border gates between Guangxi and Vietnam have restored normal customs clearance. In which, the border gates of Huu Nghi Quan, Po Chai, Dong Hung (Bac Luan bridge 2 and the opening of km 3 + 4), Thuy Khau are carrying out fruit import activities from Vietnam. Guangxi assessed that the new customs clearance model (cutting and connecting containers) at Huu Nghi - Huu Nghi Quan and Tan Thanh - Po Chai border gates has effectively promoted and limited the risk of disease transmission. This helps these two pairs of border gates become the only border gates on the border between the two countries without interruption of customs clearance due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

Guangxi believes that Vietnamese fruit is entering the peak export season, and the Chinese side also needs quick clearance for export contracts of electronic components and machinery and equipment through the Huu Nghi Quan - Huu border gate pair. Therefore, Guangxi proposed that the two sides coordinate to review the overall customs clearance activities at the two pairs of border gates of Huu Nghi - Huu Nghi Quan and Tan Thanh - Po Chai.

Guangxi also requested Lang Son to restore and disassemble trailers (cutting and connecting containers) for Chinese export trucks at Xuan Cuong cargo yard as before; at the same time, make a customs declaration at this yard; it is suggested that the buffer zone at Vietnam’s Huu Nghi border gate be used only as a place for dismantling and assembling trailers for export trucks from the Vietnamese side.

The Guangxi government requested the Lang Son side to urgently upgrade the "digital border gate" platform at Tan Thanh border gate. Pending upgrade, temporarily not put into use to speed up clearance at Tan Thanh - Po Chai border gate.

Guangxi also suggested that the police and border guards of Vietnam agree to allow Chinese full-time drivers to apply for registration and not conduct checks on each driver when entering Vietnam via the border. border gates and markets of the two countries, especially at the border gates of Huu Nghi - Huu Nghi Quan, Ta Lung - Thuy Khau, Bac Phong Sinh - Ly Hoa.
